The objecttive of the Langley Arts Council is to support and promote artistic activity in both the Township of Langley and the City of Langley. The Arts Council operates as a catalyst for a wide range of events and resources by collaborating with educational institutions, cultural organizationsm government offices, funding agencies, local businesses, recreational commissions, chambers of commerce, artists, artisans, and other non-profit societies to better serve the cultural needs of our communities.Service
As an arts organization that serves the communities that make up Langley, the LANGLEY ARTS COUNCIL works to raise the profile of the arts in langley, promote and support Langley arts and artsists, and to increase accessibility and awareness of the arts to the general public.
OUR MANDATE:
To increase and broaden opportunities for citizens to enjoy and participate in cultural activities; to engage in such activities as will promote the advancement of education in arts, culture and heritage, or other purposes of a charitable nature beneficial to the community; to improve the standards of artistic expression in the community and increase the public’s knowledge of, appreciation for, and participation in the arts. As a community based arts organization, the mission of the Langley Arts Council is to cultivate, sustain, and proliferate artistic activity in Langley by offering both monetary and resource support to the community as well as developing new and innovative programs in a variety of artistic disciplines.
We support all of the visual, performing, literary and multi-media arts.
